Air duct installation in place
According to the site conditions, the length of the air duct can be connected on the ground and put in place by hoisting, or the air duct can be placed on the support section by section and connected section by section. The general order is the main pipe first, then the branch pipe. The riser is generally installed from bottom to top. Leveling and alignment shall be carried out after installation in place to meet the requirements specified in the design.

Precautions for air duct installation:
When the air duct is not connected by flange, the interface shall be tight and firm. The four corners of rectangular air duct must be provided with positioning and sealing pads. The two planes of air duct connection shall be straight without dislocation and distortion.
The round air duct installed on the support shall be provided with a bracket.
Rain cover shall be set for air duct passing through the roof.
The air duct conveying condensate water shall be installed according to the gradient required by the design. There shall be no longitudinal joints at the bottom of the air duct. If there are joints, they shall be sealed.
The splicing of steel plate air duct with brick and concrete air duct shall conform to the air flow direction, and the joint surface of air duct and air duct must be sealed.
The supports and hangers of insulation air ducts should be set outside the insulation layer, and the insulation layer should not be damaged.
When the air supply pipe and the main pipe are connected vertically, the air guide regulating device shall be set at the interface.
Tightness inspection of air duct
After the installation of the air duct, the tightness inspection shall be carried out according to the system pressure grade. The air leakage rate shall meet the requirements of the national standard Code for Acceptance of Construction Quality of Ventilation and Air Conditioning Engineering GB50243. The tightness inspection of the system shall meet the provisions of Appendix A of GB50243 Code for Light Leakage Method Detection and Air Leakage Rate Test. The leak inspection of low-voltage system should adopt sampling inspection, with a sampling rate of 5% and no less than one system. If the processing technology and light leak detection are unqualified, the air leak rate shall be tested according to the specified sampling rate. For the tightness inspection of the medium pressure system, the air leakage rate of the system air duct shall be spot checked at a rate of 20% and at least one system shall be spot checked under the condition of strict light leakage detection. Air leakage rate test shall be conducted for all high-pressure systems.
