Axial flow fan working principle:

When the impeller rotates, the gas enters the impeller axially from the air inlet and is pushed by the blades on the impeller to increase the energy of the gas, which then flows into the guide vane. The guide vane converts the deflected gas into axial flow, and at the same time introduces the gas into the diffuser to further convert the kinetic energy of the gas into pressure energy, which is introduced into the working pipeline.

The working mode of axial fan blades is similar to that of aircraft wings. However, the latter is to apply lift to the wing and support the weight of the aircraft, while the axial flow fan is fixed in position and moves the air.

The cross section of axial flow fan is generally wing section. The blade can be fixed in position or rotated around its longitudinal axis. The angle between the blade and the airflow or the blade spacing can be non adjustable or adjustable. Changing blade angle or spacing is one of the main advantages of axial flow fans. The small blade pitch angle produces a lower flow rate, while increasing the pitch produces a higher flow rate.

The advanced axial flow fan can change the blade spacing when the fan is running (which is quite similar to the helicopter rotor), so as to change the flow accordingly. This is called an axial-flow fan with adjustable moving blades (VP).

Use of axial flow fan:
